Game: THE BEETLE AND THE BEE
Aim: Collect the strawberries, avoid the bees
Method:
Move the beetle with the arrow keys or by tapping the screen. When the beetle catches the strawberry, you must answer the question. If you get it right you keep the strawberry and earn points.
Your final score is based on the time taken minus health lost divided by 10.

Regular named 2D shapes have a set number of sides which is part of their definition. They also have a set number of vertices (corners). In this topic you are asked to identify how many sides and vertices each named shape has (circles and ovals are not thought of as having sides and certainly do not have vertices).
Quadrilaterals: All quadrilaterals have 4 sides - that is how a quadrilateral is defined. The quadrilaterals include the square, rectangle, kite, rhombus and trapezoid. By definition, all quadrilaterals also have 4 vertices.
Triangles: All triangles have 3 sides and 3 vertices.
More than 4 sides: pentagon, hexagon, etc. A pentagon has 5 sides and 5 vertices, a hexagon has 6 and 6, a septagon has 7 and 7 and an octagon has 8 sides and 8 vertices.
So the general rule is that a regular 2-dimensional shape has the same number of vertices as it has sides.
